“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” — Carl Rogers
Dominique Barritt LMHC, NCC, CST
Founder & Clinical director, integrative healing counseling services
I believe that everyone deserves a safe and compassionate space to process life’s challenges. My goal is to create a non-judgmental, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m here to help you explore your experiences, strengthen your resilience, and move toward the life you want.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Board-Certified Counselor, I offer individual counseling, EMDR Therapy, Deep Brain Reorienting, Sex Therapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. I specialize in working with early childhood attachment trauma, gender identity, and relationship challenges, including interpersonal violence and sexual dysfunction. I also have extensive experience helping clients navigate Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, grief and loss, self-esteem struggles, family of origin issues, and boundary setting. My approach is focused on helping you understand, manage, and express your emotions in ways that promote healing and growth.
Throughout our work together, I am committed to providing confidential, evidence-based, and individualized therapy. I take an integrative and flexible approach, drawing from different therapeutic models based on what works best for you. I am EMDRIA-Certified Therapist and hold an Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISST-D). I also hold certifications in Sex Therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and frequently incorporate techniques from Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal Process, Cognitive-Behavioral, Existential, Exposure Therapy, Solution-Focused, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness-Based approaches to ensure that therapy is tailored to your specific needs.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2007, after earning my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida and remain dedicated to continuing my education and maintaining fresh skills to support my clients (who have lovingly referred to me as a “learning junkie”).
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a change, I’d love to help you navigate your next steps.
